So people keep on telling us, that Flash does not run iPhones and iPads. Hah! Here you are! Our Farm demo (goo.gl/jnjES) is now running super fast on the iPhone.
Farm Demo on iPhone4 from Yogurt3D on Vimeo.
The results are stunning. On the iPhone 4S screen there are 852 static objects and 40 animated farm animals. Our Stage3D based engine Yogurt3D was used to develop this demo which is Adobe Air Version 3.2. This Farm demo runs at 45 frames per second on the iPhone 4S and this is just the beginning. We will do further optimization and will get even better results in a few weeks' time.
We are attending the SIGGRAPH Asia exhibition and conference in Hong Kong, between 13-15 December 2011. You are welcome to visit us at our booth there (Booth A24). We are thrilled to exhibit in Hong Kong for the first time.

We moved our code to github. Now you can view our code as we develop it and can access the latest code on github. (Github.com/yogurt3d).What's New in 2.1
- Fixed a lot of bugs. - Light shadows added. You can now specify which objects drop shadows and which lights cast shadows. Tutorials are comming soon. - You can now use mipmaps. Just use textureMap.mipmap = true; and mipmaps will be automatically uploaded. - Animation system now works faster. We have been developing actionscript for 5 years now but still we find speed improvements in the flash API. - Many post processing effects are added. You can find these on yogurt3d.com/effects.html and a live demo on yogurt3d.com/support/examples/post-processing-effects.html - Materials example has been split up so you can view many properties on them. Check out Materials Page. Don't forget you can allways write your own materials and send them through github.
Don't worry we are still here!
Hello to all Yogurt3D followers. We didn't have any time to post updates on our site, so i thought it would be best to notify all that we are still here and working hard. Here is what we have done in the past couple of weeks.
- Post Processing ( Night Vision, Thermal, Dream, Gamma Correction, Bloom, etc...)
- A lot of new materials ( Toon, Fresnel, Hemisphere, Reflaction, Chromatic Dispersion, etc... )
- Spot and Directional Shadows
- Flint Particle System Integration
- Multi UV Channel Support

Still Open-Source
We have opened our code a month ago, and got a lot of feedbacks about the engine. This way we solved a lot of bugs and had many little and big adjustments. So Keep on providing us with more and more comments, suggestions and comments. We won't mind any negative criticism, so keep them coming.
We are trying to choose an svn provider to host our code. Guess you are tired of downloading an updated zip file by now. It was easier to manage that way but the best is a public hosting for the code, so we heard you and a public svn host is coming soon.

GDC Online 2011

Hello World Again v2.0
Another six months have passed and it's finally time to Mole everything up! With this new version of Yogurt3D (codename Ayran), we intent to use Adobe's Stage3D technology with the best Flash renderer and created Ayran. Ayran is a traditional cold beverage of yogurt mixed with cold water and sometimes salt. The name seemed appropriate. Many examples and tutorials have been uploaded to this site; however many more are coming very fast, Also with many more features. We didn't want to keep you waiting any more. Please be patient while we reach a stable release. We will update our builds every 2 weeks, with many improvements and changes.
Free Beer. Would anyone say NO!
We want you the developer to use Yogurt3D and develop games and applications with it. So we give it away FREE as in free beer. We are working on the licencing as you read these lines.
We will be glad to hear your feedback on our engine and other tools. Have great time with Yogurt3D.

Yogurt3D v2.1
About Yogurt3D
Yogurt3D Game Engine is a state of the art Actionscript 3.0 library for developing 3D applications on Adobe Flash Platform. We claim it is possible to create in-browser 3D games without any plug-in installation. Its animation system, model formats, exporter plug-ins for modelling tools, scene hierarchy and scene management structure, and that it is developed with a game developer perspective, makes Yogurt3D a powerful tool for 3D game developers.
If you wish to target both casual and seasoned players with browser-based real-time 3D games on the web, Yogurt 3D Game Engine is the ultimate tool to choose.
About Yogurt Technologies
Yoğurt Technologies was founded in 1997 by a group of artists and computer engineers.
For 10 years the group worked as a new media agency producing technology for other companies.
In 2007, the decision to focus on its own products was taken as Yoğurt members foresaw that 3D would be the next big thing on the web. Thus, the company now produces 3D tools that will be available to anyone who wants to try a hand on 3D content.
